Hello and welcome! I am Dr. Lor. I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the State of Washington and a licensed Acupuncturist in the State of North Carolina. As a Naturopathic Doctor and a Chinese Medical Practitioner, I can ensure you that your visit with me will provide you with clarity as to why you have been experiencing the health challenges that you've been facing. Most importantly, I will recommend an action plan that is designed uniquely for you so that you can get started right away on making the transformation that you need!
I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In 2007, my family and I moved to Washington state. I started my medical training and journey at Bastyr University. In 2013, I graduated with my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. In 2014, I graduated with my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I am also a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and am certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). During my clinical rotations at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, I worked closely with and was trained by practitioners who specialized in pain relief, fertility support, and mental health diseases. I am also trained under Dr. Jeremy Steiner to provide you with the most cutting edge Electro-Acupuncture techniques. Through these techniques, I've been able to provide my clients with the healing that they've been searching for. Naturopathic & East Asian Medicines have very fundamental and natural approaches that can help with pain relief. I specialize in low back pain relief for women who are 35-70 years old and are searching for limitless healing. Because of my credentials, I am uniquely able to help my clients discover obstacles or hidden blockages to their healing as well as to restore function and reduce pain by addressing deficiencies in their body. My goal is to get my clients to a stage of their life where they are no longer planning their daily activities around their pain. There are even circumstances where my clients have been able to avoid surgery. It's important to emphasize that clients who are invested in their health and make the time to take care of themselves, are the ones who see the most changes.
Most chronic illnesses are preventable. About 75% of all health care spending in the United States is for treatment of preventable chronic illnesses. When working closely with me, it's about achieving health and wellness with the best care. I enjoy encouraging your innate self healing process through the use of natural recommendations. What we choose to do on a daily basis will either contribute to or take away from our health and wellness. I believe that education is such an important aspect of improving one's health. There's no "dumb" question when you are in the office with me. The more we can understand about what's going on, the more focused we can be with our action plan, the sooner you will see results.
I have 6 children, 2 family dogs (Champ and Luna), and many chickens. When I'm not working, I am spending time with my family at museums, libraries, parks, lakes or at event gatherings. More recently, I've been in love with cake baking and decorating. I moved to North Carolina when I was a teen and then moved to Washington for medical school. After graduating from Bastyr University, I opened a clinic in Washington to serve my local community there. After several years, I decided to close it and move my practice to North Carolina to provide my services to the community here. My children enjoy being with the family here and I am excited to be back.
Our life and body are so complex. As a Naturopathic doctor and a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, my position as a healthcare professional is unique. I often blend these two to provide you with the best outcome possible. I believe that there are so many parts that we need to look at when we are wanting to improve our current health/situation. There are factors that can be altered while there are some that can't be. Our genetics are set and were set when they were passed down to us from our parents. What we can focus on are the factors that can be changed. If you're ready to transform your body and health so that you can achieve limitless healing, then you've come to the right place!
