Health conditions that are specific to women are broad but there's always a way that I can help. Whether you have a hormonal imbalance, menstrual irregularity, infertility, frequent infections, or cancer, I will have a transformative plan that's tailored to you! You are here because you want to have a natural approach to your care and that's what I do here. My focus is to get your body to function efficiently and optimally.

Some of the conditions that I can help to optimize or improve (but are not limited to) are listed below:
     ~ hormonal imbalance. For example: estrogen dominance, menopause, PMS
     ~ menstrual cycle irregularities. For example: heavy or light bleeding, short menstrual cycles
     ~ painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea)
     ~ infertility
     ~ infections. For example: bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections
     ~ uterine fibroids
     ~ ovarian cysts
     ~ side effects of cancer treatment. Note: if you have an active cancer (of any type), you must be working with an oncologist in order for us to provide any treatment or recommendations to you. A consent form must also be signed by you prior to any acupuncture treatment or natural recommendations.

Should I bring in old lab or imaging results?

If you have any results that you think would be beneficial to review, please bring them. In addition, if you've had any lab or imaging (diagnostic) test results that were within the last year please bring them too.

Depending on what's going on, I may need to recommend you to get blood work. This can be discussed in more detail during your appointment.

Is Dr. Lor a Gynecologist or an Obstetrician?

I am a licensed Naturopathic doctor, a licensed Acupuncturist and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. I am not a Gynecologist or an Obstetrician. She has been trained and have treated many women's health related ailments. There are specific therapies that I do not provide such as insertion of birth control methods, vaccinations, delivery of baby, etc. If you have any questions about my services/therapies, please contact me.

I have been experiencing infertility and am wondering if there's anything Dr. Lor can do to help me?

Both Naturopathic and Chinese Medicines have been beneficial in helping improve fertility outcome. A hormone panel is typically recommended to see the hormone levels in your body. These hormones must be done at a specific time throughout your cycle. Research have shown that pregnancy rates increase when women who are undergoing IVF treatment also get acupuncture. Although society commonly sees infertility presented in women, it's important to know that there are also male factors that affect infertility. To discuss more about this, please contact us.
